Atlantic Canada

A photographic journey through the coastal landscapes, historic towns, and maritime cultures of Atlantic Canada.

This itinerary explores the historic coastal regions of Atlantic Canada, where dramatic shorelines, fishing villages, and colonial settlements reflect centuries of maritime history. The photographs document landscapes shaped by the Atlantic Ocean as well as communities influenced by Acadian, French, British, and Indigenous traditions.

Along the route the journey passes through historic ports, coastal cliffs, national parks, and small maritime towns that have long depended on the sea for trade, fishing, and transportation. Lighthouses, harbors, and rugged coastal scenery appear throughout the itinerary, illustrating the deep relationship between the people of the region and the North Atlantic.

The journey begins in Nova Scotia, exploring historic ports and coastal landscapes along the Atlantic shoreline. From there the route continues into New Brunswick, where the dramatic tides of the Bay of Fundy shape one of the most unique coastal environments in the world.

The itinerary then travels across Prince Edward Island, known for its rolling farmland, red sandstone cliffs, and historic Acadian communities. The final portion of the journey reaches Newfoundland, where rugged coastlines, fishing harbors, and historic settlements such as St. John’s and Signal Hill reflect the long maritime history of Canada’s eastern frontier.
