Fundy National Park – New Brunswick, Canada
Fundy National Park lies along the northern shore of the Bay of Fundy in southern New Brunswick, a region famous for having the highest tides in the world. Twice each day the waters of the bay rise and fall dramatically, exposing vast tidal flats, sea stacks, and rocky coastal formations along the shoreline.
The park protects a landscape of rugged coastline, forested hills, and river valleys where streams descend toward the bay through waterfalls and narrow gorges. Trails throughout the park lead to scenic viewpoints overlooking the bay as well as quiet inland lakes and dense Acadian forests.
From the coastal cliffs and beaches, the sweeping views of the Bay of Fundy reveal the powerful tidal forces that have shaped this distinctive maritime landscape.
