Kruger National Park - Skukuza

Skukuza – Kruger National Park, South Africa

The settlement of Skukuza Rest Camp serves as the largest and most developed camp within Kruger National Park. Located along the banks of the Sabie River, Skukuza functions as a central hub for visitors exploring the southern part of the park.

The surrounding region is known for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly for large mammals such as lions, elephants, and rhinoceroses. The riverine habitats nearby attract diverse birdlife and other animals that depend on the permanent water source.

Because of its central location and rich wildlife environment, Skukuza is often considered one of the best bases for safari exploration in Kruger.
