Etosha Plain

Etosha National Park – Namibia

The vast wilderness of Etosha National Park protects one of the most remarkable ecosystems in southern Africa. At the center of the park lies the immense Etosha Pan, a shimmering white salt flat visible from space.

During the dry season wildlife gathers around natural and artificial waterholes scattered throughout the park. These water sources attract elephants, giraffes, antelope, and predators that roam the surrounding plains.

Etosha’s open landscapes and concentrated wildlife make it one of the best places in Africa to observe animals in their natural habitat.
