North Africa American Cemetery – Carthage, Tunisia

The North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial lies near the ancient city of Carthage, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The cemetery honors American soldiers who lost their lives during the North African campaigns of World War II.

More than 2,800 graves are arranged across the peaceful landscaped grounds, while the memorial walls record the names of thousands of additional service members whose remains were never recovered. The site commemorates the Allied operations that helped secure North Africa during the war.

Today the cemetery serves as a place of remembrance and reflection overlooking the historic coastline of Tunisia.
