Trondheim – Norway

The historic city of Trondheim stands along the Trondheim Fjord and has played a central role in Norwegian history for more than a thousand years. Founded in 997 by the Viking king Olaf Tryggvason, Trondheim served for centuries as the capital of Norway.

The city is best known for the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, one of the most important medieval churches in Scandinavia and the traditional site for the coronation of Norwegian monarchs.

Today Trondheim blends historic architecture with vibrant cultural life, making it one of Norway’s most fascinating cities.
