Port Campbell NP - Twelve Apostles

Twelve Apostles – Victoria, Australia

The towering limestone stacks known as the Twelve Apostles rise dramatically from the waters of the Southern Ocean along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. These remarkable rock formations were created over millions of years as waves gradually eroded the surrounding coastal cliffs.

Standing offshore against the crashing surf, the stacks form one of the most recognizable natural landmarks in Australia. Changing light throughout the day creates dramatic views of the formations and the surrounding coastline.

The Twelve Apostles remain one of the most photographed coastal landscapes in the country.
