Parc Naziunal Svizzer

Swiss National Park – Graubünden, Switzerland

The Swiss National Park (Parc Naziunal Svizzer) lies in the eastern Alps of Graubünden, near the border with Italy and Austria. Established in 1914, it is the oldest national park in the Alps and preserves a vast area of high mountain wilderness.

The park protects rugged alpine landscapes including deep valleys, forests of larch and pine, and rocky mountain ridges shaped by glaciers and rivers. Wildlife such as ibex, red deer, chamois, and golden eagles inhabit these protected mountain environments.

In winter the surrounding alpine scenery becomes especially dramatic, with snow-covered slopes and quiet valleys reflecting the pristine character of Switzerland’s high mountain landscapes.
