Glen Affric

Glen Affric – Scotland

The remote valley of Glen Affric lies west of Inverness and is often considered one of the most beautiful glens in the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by rugged mountains and ancient forests, the glen preserves some of the largest remaining stands of native Caledonian pine woodland in Scotland.

Lochs, waterfalls, and winding mountain roads create a dramatic landscape shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago. The region also supports diverse wildlife including red deer, golden eagles, and other species that thrive in the Highland environment.

Today Glen Affric forms part of a protected nature reserve and remains one of Scotland’s most scenic wilderness areas.
