Belfast – Northern Ireland
Belfast stands at the head of Belfast Lough on the eastern coast of Northern Ireland and developed as an important industrial and maritime center during the 19th century. The city grew rapidly during the Industrial Revolution, becoming famous for shipbuilding, linen production, and engineering.
One of the most notable achievements of Belfast’s shipyards was the construction of the RMS Titanic, built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in the early 20th century. Today the city’s waterfront and historic districts reflect both its industrial heritage and its modern cultural revival.
Landmarks such as Belfast City Hall and the redeveloped docklands highlight the city’s transformation into a vibrant cultural and economic center.
