Fiskardo – Kefalonia, Greece
The picturesque harbor village of Fiskardo lies along the northern coast of Kefalonia overlooking the deep blue waters of the Ionian Sea. Unlike many towns on the island, Fiskardo survived the devastating earthquake of 1953, preserving much of its traditional architecture.
Colorful Venetian-era buildings line the waterfront where fishing boats and small yachts gather in the protected harbor. Narrow streets wind through the village past cafés, small shops, and historic houses that reflect the island’s long connection to maritime trade.
Today Fiskardo remains one of the most charming and well-preserved villages in the Ionian Islands.
