Loch Ness – Scotland
The deep waters of Loch Ness stretch through the rugged valleys of the Scottish Highlands southwest of Inverness. Carved by ancient glaciers, the long and narrow loch is one of the largest bodies of freshwater in the United Kingdom.
Steep hills and forests surround the dark waters of the lake, creating one of the most dramatic landscapes in Scotland. The loch is also famous for the legendary creature known as the Loch Ness Monster, a tale that has captured the imagination of visitors for generations.
Today Loch Ness remains one of Scotland’s most iconic natural landmarks.
