Geneva – Switzerland
Geneva lies at the western end of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) where the Rhône River flows out of the lake toward France. Surrounded by the distant peaks of the Alps and the Jura Mountains, the city occupies one of the most scenic urban settings in Switzerland.
The historic center rises on a hill above the lake and is dominated by St. Pierre Cathedral, while the waterfront is famous for the towering Jet d’Eau fountain that has become the symbol of the city.
Geneva has long served as an important international center for diplomacy, culture, and finance, making it one of the most globally connected cities in Switzerland.
