Aarhus Cathedral – Aarhus, Denmark

The impressive Aarhus Cathedral, also known as Aarhus Domkirke, stands at the heart of Aarhus. Constructed primarily during the 12th and 13th centuries, the cathedral is the longest church in Denmark.

Originally built in Romanesque style and later expanded in Gothic form, the cathedral contains elaborate frescoes, intricate altarpieces, and centuries of Danish religious art. The tall brick structure reflects the architectural traditions of medieval Scandinavia.

Today Aarhus Cathedral remains one of the most important historic landmarks in Denmark.
